Trip Overview

The Manaslu Circuit Trek is one of Nepal’s most spectacular and rewarding Himalayan trekking adventures, offering an unforgettable journey around Mount Manaslu, the eighth-highest mountain in the world at 8,163 meters. Located in the remote western region of Nepal, the trek follows ancient salt trading routes that once connected Nepal with Tibet, providing trekkers with a remarkable combination of natural beauty, authentic mountain culture, and high-altitude adventure.

Unlike the more commercial trekking regions, the Manaslu Circuit remains relatively untouched and preserves its traditional Himalayan lifestyle. The trail passes through beautiful river valleys, dense forests, terraced farmlands, traditional Gurung and Tibetan villages, ancient monasteries, and high alpine landscapes. Trekkers experience dramatic changes in scenery, culture, climate, and vegetation as they ascend from subtropical forests to the rugged Himalayan environment.

The major highlight of the trek is crossing the magnificent Larkya La Pass at 5,106 meters, one of Nepal’s most spectacular high mountain passes. The summit offers breathtaking panoramic views of Mount Manaslu, Himlung Himal, Cheo Himal, Kang Guru, Annapurna II, and numerous surrounding peaks. Combined with rich Tibetan Buddhist culture, remote mountain villages, and pristine natural landscapes, the Manaslu Circuit Trek provides one of the finest trekking experiences in the Himalayas.
